Must-See Events at the Film Festival in Miami
The film festival kicks off with My Big Party on March 3rd from 9pm. The opening night film, My Big Night will take place at the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center, and afterwards the party will continue as the festival returns to its usual venue, the Historic Alfred I. Dupont Building. The party is a great way to ring in the festival and promises a fun-filled night of music, dancing, cocktails, and great food.
One of the most anticipated events of the Miami International Film Festival is CinemaSlam 2016, which is a competition aimed at showcasing, discovering and celebrating the work of both undergraduate and graduate students in South Florida and Miami. The competition is open to any student who is enrolled at a participating college or university upon completion of the film.
